Uses the multi-trait genotype-ideotype distance index (MGIDI) to rank 25 purple waxy corn hybrids on growth, yield and quality traits. The hybrids and two check varieties were grown in the spring and winter seasons of 2021 in Hanoi. The index selected two hybrids, VNUA261 and VNUA191. VNUA191 was later recognized for circulation and granted plant-variety protection (Certificate No. 59.VN.2025).
